From my experience, some Canadian MBA programs focus on your academic background while some others focus on your working experience.

If your GPA is as you mentioned, you can forget about McGill. Since that particular program is extremely focus on GPA. I had some personal contact with McGill in the Toronto MBA forum. They told me they require 85 points in a 100 points system and high GMAT score or good working experience can not be any compensation of this. Quite a stupid standard, isn't it? It seems to be Ivey and York put more focus on your overall qualification, especially your working experience.

Good luck in your MBA hunting.
