I wish I had. But I didn't. I only had some working experience in marketing and sales field when the first time I came here. And I do love my former jobs in China. It's impossible to find the same or similar jobs here, for the sake of language and culture obstacles. So, I had to give up.
It's so happen that I got a chance to enter that financial company, working in the supporting dept. Then I started from the very beginning. As I didn't have any idear about Canadian Mutual Fund market, or even basic knowledge. But fortunately, I was brave to ask everything new, and learned as soon as possible. As long as you were in that industry, and you were willing to learn, everything would be a piece of cake. But if you were not in that industry already, don't get upset. You could put more time and energy on those materials to absorb and digest them. Build up the good learning habbilt to pay as much as possible attention to anything relative with mutual funds, stocks, or whatever insurance, then you could be successful too.
The key is, ask yourself, if you were really interested in this field, or you just wanted to switch to an industry which you think could make more money, or make money easier. You would make it, if you were really interested in it, and focused on it. I believe.
It's really a sunny weekend here. The feeling is very wonderful. Wish you have a nice weekend.
