I think some people will be a little extreme when they are overwhelmed by the feeling of nostalgia.In my view, shenzhen is certainly a good city in China, especially after being elaborately cultivated as a window to present the achievement of the reform of China. But expect for some external changes about city vision, there are no any internal changes on security, polity and so on.
I have no inclination to debase shenzhen and any other cities in our homeland. But I feel there are indeed lots of facets that shenzhen cannot compare beauty with Vancouver.You cannot clean your house once a month in shenzhen as in Vancouver. You cannot cross the road regardless of the running cars in shenzhen as in Vancouver.You don't dare to live in a house withour a fence of wire netting on your balcony in shenzhen as in Vancouver, right?I am sure you will say you miss Vancouver so much when you go back to shenzhen.So,don't always think shenzhen is better than Vancouver,although I do wish it will be in the futher.
