I don't think your calculation is luxurious. You probably don't know much about the some of the expenses since some of your calculation seems to be based on what you heard of other's life. Mine probably is not good either since most of families I met have double income over $70K so no one really strictly spend on one salary, but I do think a lot of expenses can be cut to enjoy the same kind of living standard. Anyhow, we don't have to agree with each other. It's good that we have this disscussion(kind of late reply though :)).
