I follow the windows Xp suggestion plan to establish network: Cable modem directly connect to Hub, two computers connect to Hub, there is no connection between two computers. My hub has uplink port and five normal ports, now let us focus on the cable between the cable modem and Hub, when I use jumping cable, only computer A can log on Internet , but when I use normal cable to connect the cable modem with Hub, Only computer B can surf on the Internet. Why? besides, each time, one computer log on the internet, another only show IP address and Subnet mask without DNS & default gateway by using Ipconfig to test. please help me.
