Yesterday is my first day working in Canada.

I was so tired because I had to listen and speak in English for the whole day.

I know I can not catch a single word when I am nervous. So, I didn't understand the VP, who introduced me the business, the policy and my job duty non-stop at the first 2 hours. Then I just kept on nodding when I was introduced to each person working here. That really drove me crazy!

I went to bed at 8 o'clock as soon as I finished my dinner.

Terrible day! Now I want to study English!

Back To Topic: Anyone can answer me whether it is true that a new immigrant has to have very good English skills to get a job quickly? I found many job ads require good English oral and writing skills but don't demand very much at the technical skills you should have.
