someone asked me about Mississauga, here are my brief comments.

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Mississauga is Southwest to downtown Toronto. It's much quieter and neater than downtown Toronto and other cities such as Scarbourgh. There are less Chinese living in this city than others, although Chinese still holds a fairly large part of the population. Living expense is a little higher than downtown and Scarbough. The apartment market is very tight now, so finding a satisfactory accomodation takes some time, especially for newcomers. Many landlords check carefully about your credit and rent the apartments only to those who have secure jobs. I faced the same difficulty when I first arrived here last year. But if you show them that you have sufficient money (over $30,000, but depends)in the bank, you will have better chances.

On the job market, Mississauga houses the headquarters of many Canadian companies or the subsidiaries of many global multinational companies, such as Motorola, Oracle, Microsoft, Siemens, Walmart, etc. In general these companies recruit more office workers (finance, sales & marketing, IT, office admin) than general labours, but people with different backgrounds and skills are required all the time. It really depends on individual qualification and luck when talking about getting a job here.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
