I guess the author is just making up stories about life in North American for readers in China. He has to add some exotic episodes in order to get more people's attention. First of all, even MBA from Harvard can only make around 100k a year as a new graduate(Stanford MBA is usually considered much better than Harvard, even Northwestern's kellog is better). We have hired a director of product who was a harvard MBA graduate and just got laid off by a major financial company, he gets paid even less than that. Secondly, sex is strictly prohibited from workplace, trust me, you don't want to impress your co-workers as a playboy or want to talk about sex in the office, if you do so, your career is doomed , because people won't trust you and they won't consider you professional. I don't believe the story is true, I never read any this type of story in English. I had some caucasion buddies. If you really poke into their life, you know that Caucasions are very much the same as us chinese, except for some habits. Some of them are agressive, independant, so are some chinese. They lie, they cheat , and they are selfish just like we do(at least I do).
