After you join Airmiles Program (www.airmiles.ca), you can get points when you buy stuffs at its member merchants. The points can later be redeemed for free movie tickets, free groceries, and free airline tickets. You can also apply for the Airmiles American Express credit card which gives you points for using the card. I joined the program last May, and now have accumulated 2200 points, which is sufficient for two round-trip tickets from Toronto to New York City.
