本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I am currently in US, but have visited Toronto, Vancouver. My impression is that Vancouver is beautiful, but also very expensive. BC is one of the highest tax provinces in Canada. The weather was nice, very beautiful in August, but it also rains a lot in spring, fall and winter.
Toronto is a very good city, I like it. It is a big city with many opportunities, and the life there is not boring (especially now the rolia headquater is in Toronto). Since almost 80% of new immigrants from all over the world chose Toronto as their landing city, the housing and finding a job become a problem. Of course housing and finding a job are always problems for new immigrants, no matter where you chose to live.
I have not been in Chengdu for many years, I don't know any of the places mentioned in this forum. The buildings I used to know are probably already gone, the small path I walked to the primary school everyday may not exist, even the front door of my middle and high school has changed from facing east to facing north. I remember the 麻婆豆腐 and next door 云南米线 两家餐馆， hopefully they are still there. 那时和 LG 去吃米线才两块钱一碗， 又便宜又实惠。
我写得很慢， 有时还不能马上回， 还请多包涵。
