General
Reference to most business operations exhibits a shift in the management
philosophy. Corporations are forever searching for new ways to improve
their processes towards enhanced productivity and profitability.
Project Management, as it has been generally viewed, was thought as an
unique undertaking and divorced from business operations. However, it is
becoming increasingly clear that project management as a process can be
applied systematically to organizational undertakings, inculcate a
disciplined approach to management and link strategy via project management
principles.
This session is to examine the applicability of project management as a
process in general and the tools that are necessary effectively manage
business in general.

Background of Mr. Kris Krishnan
Mr. Krishnan is the Principal Management Consultant of his firm GVK
Enterprises. His areas of expertise are:
1.. Project Management
2.. Strategic and Business Planning
3.. Business Process Re-engineering & Training
Mr. Krishnan is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), a Certified Management
Accountant (CMA) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). He has a
Master's degree in Engineering from McMaster University and an MBA from the
University of Toronto.
Mr. Krishnan has extensive experience in Design & Development, Operations,
Financial Comptrollership, Planning & Controls in addition to being a
seasoned project manager. He has been consulting for the last 10 years for
a number fortune 500 companies such as Procter & Gamble, Ford Motor
Company, Glaxo Wellcome, Northern Telecom, Indal Technilogies, Honda
Manufacturing and Ontario Power Generation to mention a few.
Mr. Krishnan gives seminars on Project Management regularly in addition to
offering full time credit courses at the senior under-graduate and graduate
levels at McMaster, Toronto and York Universities in Strategic Planning,
