I don't doubt you are a true C++ guy. I suggest you expand your skill set...
Knowing more will secure your life in Canada. Web development is a big
direction.

Borland Jbuilder, IBM Visual Age for Java,
Symantec Visual Cafe .... many IDEs.
You can be good at one of them, play with
others for a few days, them put all of them
on your resume. Of course, you need be able to work with JDK directly.

C++ is still important but its market is shrinking. This is a market-oriented society.

Some people likes to come C++ with Java and prove Java is trash. For me, I don't who is fast. I just need a job to make my living.
