My god, $280 for an old TV! Somebody is cheating you! Acutally, $28 is reasonable.
FYI, $200 for 19'' GE, $300 for 25" Sangyon(?), all brand new, a lot of feature, in warmart. Plus you can get refund in 90 days if you are not satified with the TV.
Caption(English Zi Mu) is very important. Two friends, who have been abroad for 1.5 years, once visited my home. When they saw my TV with Caption, they were very excited, "Oh, finally we can understanding what they are talking about on TV!". You know what, both of them are PHD students.
Somebody may be tell you no caption in TV may help you improve your English skills more quickly, especailly your listening ability. But I don't think so, according to my experience.
Go to walmart or any store, buy a new TV and good luck in your future!
