A recent reported study looked at how much time the average American user was spending on major social networks. That means if you use Facebook as often as the average American, you spend 42.1 minutes per day on the social network. That’s enough time to bake a frozen pizza, put it in the microwave after you undercook it, burn it, and then order a pizza!

The study also provided average daily times spent on Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Spending 21 minutes a day on Instagram is an impressive commitment to art.

All this raises the question: What is everybody really doing for all that time? Fortunately we conducted our own study based on anecdotal evidence and information collected in abandoned mansions discovered on Pinterest.
