A lotto luck will go a very long way

A Mississauga ticket holder has won the largest lottery jackpot in Canadian history, which sits at $64 million. The winner has not yet come forward to claim the prize. We see three lotto tickets spread like a hand of cards. The Lotto 649 logo is printed at the top of the cards. Lower down on the cards, we see the words "quick pick" and some numbers. Underneath the numbers, we see the words "evening/soiree."

Somebody–or maybe a group of somebodys–is very, very lucky.

He, she or them won Saturday night’s all-time record $64-million grand prize in Canada’s Lotto 6/49 draw.

So far at least, the winner–or winners–has declined (or, god forbid, doesn’t actually know the results) to come forward to claim the prize.

All anyone knows is that the winning ticket was bought in Mississauga, Ontario.

Lottery fever gripped Canada ahead of Saturday’s draw. Convenience stores and lottery kiosks from coast to coast were crammed with customers with big dreams and a few bucks to spend.

The previous Canadian lottery record was $63.4 million for a 6/49 draw in April 2013.

Those winnings were split by four ticket holders, who won nearly $16 million each.
