My boss was an internal auditor, this was more common years ago though. CAs from auditing background are losing the ground in the industry. Also pharmaceutical companies are very tight on headcount. General trend is to outsource and/or centralize everything possible. The local Finance focus has been moving towards to business decision support. Tax or audit is not a good career path for corporate finance anymore.

I would suggest you to try corporate finance in the area, don't be too specific about industry. You just never know. A family should always stay together.
