Have you decided? If I understood correctly, the PERC might not pass since your boss recommended you to a firm. How about the previous CGAs? Did they get the experience there then moved on? Or have to move on to gain the experience?

If I were you, I would stay until get the result from CGA. If pass, you feel free to find any other job later without pay cut (actually should be with pay increase). If not, you may go to the firm with pay cut to gain experience (however, make sure the firm can provide you enough experience); or you may find anywhere else to gain the experience (shortfall: you might not find a place like that within the time frame).
