About Collins Barrow Toronto Accounting & Assurance team
Collins Barrow Toronto serves as auditors to many entities across Canada and abroad, both publicly listed as well as privately held, in numerous industries. Our audit services help address the challenges of managing risk and make available meaningful financial information for various stakeholders. We provide the most relevant financial advice intended to maximize the potential of our client’s business and have well established and rigorous policies and quality control systems that meet professional standards and applicable laws and regulations resulting in an efficient and meaningful audit.
Our partners and managers are actively involved in the planning and execution of each audit and review engagement. We are currently looking to add a Senior Accountant to our Accounting and Assurance (“A&A”) team, particularly experienced in financial services, specifically relating to investment funds and broker dealers accounting and audit.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
•Effectively and independently complete and supervise field assignments – primarily audits and reviews.
•Deliver completed files for review on a timely basis.
•Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with clients, co-workers and all levels of staff and management.
•Direct field work daily, inform supervisors of the engagement status and manage staff performance.
•Develop strong technical audit, accounting and tax skills.
A successful candidate will have:
•1 – 2 years of progressive audit experience working with public company clients and/or financial institutions or funds
•Experience managing and developing junior staff on small engagements.
•Accounting designation or working towards the same.
•A flair for working with clients and providing impeccable and attentive service.
•A positive attitude and desire to excel and grow professionally.
•Ability to travel as required, including internationally.
•Knowledge of foreign languages, particularly Mandarin/Spanish considered an asset.
· $52,000 - $58,000 per year (CAD)
