Subject: Marketing Assistant - Ethnic Business Unit

The Ethnic Business within the Brand Development, Foods department has an immediate opening for a full-time Marketing Assistant to provide administrative as well as operation support to the Marketing & Sales Manager for the continued development of the ethnic business in North America.
Responsibilities include:
Provide all aspects of administrative and secretarial services.
Issue PO's to overseas affiliates and co-packers.
Co-ordinate with suppliers on shipment status and provide update to team
Assist/Support the Business Account Manager in the following brand activities:
update MDC expenses
execute trade strategies including pricing, promotion, distribution, etc.
co-ordinate and manage new product initiatives such as taste testing, label design, collecting information on ingredient and nutritional information, etc.
The ideal candidate will have a post secondary education and must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and priority management skills. The ability to multi-task and work under pressure toward tight deadlines is essential. Related marketing/sales experience would be an asset. Incumbent must be strongly proficient using PowerPoint, Excel, Work and MS Outlook.
