I will think It's actually a good sign if it takes time for interviewer to turn me down. That means I am very close to the other candidates and a hard decision is being taken when interviewer turn me down.

You and your lady friend should think positively. Every time I see your attitude, I think there is no way for your friend to find a job. I won't even give you a second interview if you present yourself in this negative way.
