shouldn't be more expensive than forest hill:-) which is an upper middle class neighborhood.I think eaton family's church is there. so is upper canada college, which seems an upper class school for boys and where ted rogers jr. studied before going to U of T.

The Beaches, Cabbagetown, Riverdale/The Danforth, Forest Hill, Rosedale, The Annex, Kensington Market, High Park-Bloor West Village. All these are supposed to attract those who seek quiet living and easy access to the downtown core.

Thank you so much for your information. Do you possibly know if I can rent a studio room in the above areas for 700$ per month? Where are North York, Mississauga, etc.? Are they more faraway from Toronto downtown? Thank you!

North York is definitely farther from downtown, but you can still have urban life there. Mississauga is another city which has another transit. I am not sure if 700 is enough, but it should be ok. You can take a look here: www.rent.net. Good luck!
