I guess you are right. But that needs your great knoledge and experiences. To criticize others, one himself should have his own stance, that is he should be on a higher lever.I hope one day I will be that kind of person.

I think some employers in Canada are too picky but they cannot evaluate people's skill properly.I dominate my team and I told my colleages that we just hire good people, and we do not aim at hiring the "best people". In one word, we must be fair in evaluating others... For instance, we don't evaluate job candidates using complicated questions about pointers... We use open questions to test the people---if the correct answer should have 3 entries but the candidate can answer only 2, we don't think he/she is poor.

And also as a candidate, I think they care if he could be hired 1000 times than if an interviewer is picky, but if they fell you are picky and then they rejected, they may lost their confidence. So,Only picky to the person you will hired is the best choise as you did. You need to change your kind attitude to picky just right after you decided you will hire him.

Right now, it is desparately hard to get an interview, let alone a job offer. ....So the employer has luxury to be picky. However, I don't think the employer needs to spend several weeks in hiring a person. If the employer has no confidence to evaluate a job candidate within 1-2 hour;s interview, it deserves to be fooled by fake resumes.
