枫下茶话 / 法律 / Help! My wife and I are thinking of coming back to work for 6 month or so after landing. We understand that there are
-- the 183-day rule
--the RRP as explained by sailor last June
we should like to know if there are any new developments that would allow us to stay in mainland longer or that would give us more flexiblity?eg. we heard that if one stays in Ca. the spouse may not be bounded by the 183-day rule; we both work in internatinal companies, would this help with RRP?

TKS, beibei. but If we are employed by international companies instead of Canadian companies, would we get RRP?

Even you were employed by Canada goverment, you still should need RRP.

Are you sure?Where did you hear such rule? I am referring to that as long as one stays in ca, the other is not bound by 183 days rule.

Every individual LP holder (you and your spouse) is responsible for his/her PR status. The government treats you individually.
