Software Application Programmer
This position is responsible for the design, development and integration of Document Management application software. Software applications will include but not limited too StreamWeaver and Doc1. Candidates will possess excellent customer-facing skills and the ability to represent Pitney Bowes in the implementation of superior software solutions designed to meet customer needs.
Key responsibilities include:
· Direct verification, reviews, testing, monitoring, and configuration control to ensure system quality and integrity
· Assist in the requirement to create plans, standards, and procedures for system development, modification, testing, and documentation
· Lead technical reviews of feasibility studies; conduct application testing, documentation, implementation and validation reviews
· Design, code, test, document, and install software solutions, routines, modules, and programs
· Provide Level 1 and 2: Software Support in Canada to the customer base
· Document system design data, operational characteristics, and user instructions.
· Apply testing disciplines and oversee tasks to verify application system quality.
· Create and delivery presentation and training materials
· Participate to provide “steering committee” recommendations for product development. Input would be based on customer feedback and market demand
Qualifications:
· 2 years programming knowledge of Doc1 and StreamWeaver application software; 4 or more years' applicable programming or equivalent demonstrated experience, plus a proven understanding of standard programming practices.
· Industry experience in the solutions environment, with background in developing technical solutions for complex integrated software applications;
· Bachelor of Science – Computer Systems / Computer Programming
· Strong customer interfacing skills and professional business image
· Experience with networking applications an asset
· Experience with full documentation development & presentation to “consultative” opportunities
