Roles and responsibilities Successfully execute multiple technology projects, products and teams, releasing major software projects and maintenance releases. Contribute to enterprise-wide projects that address a broad range of systems challenges that require the highest level of technical expertise combined with a good understanding of the company.  Help shape technology strategy and drive execution of the streaming and microservices analytics core frameworks to drive efficiency and scale  Support the career development of the team (objective setting, performance management, talent management, etc.) Provide strategic direction to team and guidance and support to assist in removing major project impediments. Lead application development of effective and operational market data and trading analytics built on the platform. Work with business stakeholders to identify and research new sectors and areas to apply market data analytics. Facilitate a work culture that promotes the development and retention of high quality, technology staff. Participate in recruitment activities and strategies for technology and contribute to recruitment for other areas. Establish credibility & build deep relationships with senior technical staff to generate common understanding of the market data and pre-trade analytics strategy Take an analytical approach to software development and drive decision making by measuring key aspects of the system and product. Evaluates entire portfolio of projects, ensuring resource supply and demand are balanced. Author and contribute to publications such as whitepapers, tutorials, etc. Present at internal workshops and public conferences Qualifications Requirements Minimum Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science or other similar analytical field. 5+ years of experience in analytics in the financial industry. 5+ years of management experience. Excellent knowledge of software development tools and methodologies Very good knowledge of Java and cloud-based frameworks/environments. Knowledge of C++ Communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with management, product/business stakeholders and developers Ability to work in a multi-geographic team environment. Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
