Responsibilities Include:
Design and maintain the integrity of the database through: developing and enforcing database standards and procedures, leading or participating in logical and physical database design, maintaining control programs required for accessing the database

Duties:
Monitor, maintain and optimize database performance
Interact with developers regarding system/programming design reviews and database coding issues
database design data modeling and user requrements analysis
database backup and recovery procedures access security and database integrity
develop and maintain complex sql scripts and stored procedures to implement business logic within the database

skills/experience required:
2 - 3 yrs progressive experience in developing oracle solutions in a SUNUNIX environment
troubleshooting of database performance and reliability problems
demostrated expertise in database design, installations and conversions
experience with high availability oracle andpossibly sql server database
recommend best practices for security and integrity of all database applications through the application of effective controls
experience with a formal development process
able to support a 7x24 production environment
experience with internet/intranet applications including MIIS and/or i-planet web servers and internet explorer and/or netscape web browsers.
experience in coding pl/sql scripts pacakges, triggers
java and xml skill would be an asset but not essential
experience with tcp/ip netoworking (asset)
experience with unix sys admin (asset)
