The tickets for Chinese New Year's Party (Feb 12, 2005) are on sale
starting from the evening of this Wednesday (Jan 19). We initially
set up 3 locations in school gyms and 3 time slots for tickets sales:

Location 1: Mary Johnston Public School, Waterloo(Mei Li/ Hui Wu)
Time 1: every Wednesday 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Time 2: every Friday 7:30pm to 9:00pm

Location 2: Laurelwood Public School, Waterloo
Time: every Friday 8:15pm to 9:30pm (Ming Yu/ Jie Zhang)

Location 3: Cambridge during the day time (Xiaoyun Wu)

The first two places are where we run regular CPACTT Sport Clubs. The
names in the brackets are the people responsible for tickets sales at
those locations. We will soon publish more names and locations. For
those we would like to help us to sell the tickets, please send an
email to ming.yu@r... or see Ming Yu this Wednesday at Location
1.

Chinese New Year's Party details:
Time: 6:00pm
Date: Feb 12, 2005
Location: Schwaben Club, 1668 King St. E., Kitchener (see
directions below)

Program details (to be finalized)
- Supper (Pizza + Fruit + Water)
- Performance (up to 2 hours)
- Lucky Draw #1
- Dance (till midnight)
- Lucky Draw #2
Lucky Draws include a DVD player, Restaurant certificates etc.

Ticket rules:
- Paid member: adults or kids/parents $5/per person
- All the rest (including non-member): adults or kid: $10/ per person
- Exception: all kids under 4 are free if companied by adult
- First come, first serve. All tickets must be purchased ahead of Feb
7, 2005. We do not plan to sell tickets at door this time to ensure
everyone has enough pre-ordered food.
- One can also choose to pay membership fee and start to enjoy the
discount immediately. Membership policy can be found:

1.Directions from Waterloo
Take King Street and drive towards highway 401. Pass Xin-Cheng
Chinese Grocery Store and Ottawa St. It’s close to Red Lobster

Kid's Place:
We will set up an area for young kids to play. It's expected that all
parents supervise their own children in the area. We recommended
young parents bring one labeled toy to the area so kids may share the
toys. KW Chinese Parents Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KW-
ChineseParentsGroup/) will be there to help out. 每个人都是参与者，也
是组织者，孩子开心了，我们会更轻松.The place will be far away from

We are in the process to set up a game area for kids to play video
games. We need to people to bring in their own TVs (14" is ideal) and

you would like to kindly bring in your own system.

For those who bought tickets to our New Year's Party, please read on.
已购票的朋友请注意:

- More information on driving directions
The best way to access the Schwaben Club parking lot is from Weber
Street E. (not King street!). From Waterloo or Kitchener downtown,
drive on Weber Street E. Pass Ottawa Street. After the Honda
Dealerships, the club entrance is on your right hand side. Eastwood
public school is on your left side. If the club parking lot is full,
we can also the use school parking lot.

- No Ticket sale at door

- Seating
Each regular table will seat 8 ticket holders. Kids under 4 will
either be carried by their parents or sit on extra seats that can be
provided upon request. There will be large tables too. It's every
parent’s sole responsibility for the safety of their children (on
chairs or floor). Please also do not let young children running
around unsupervised.

舞台也是个问题. 租到有舞台的地方呢,座椅都是固定的,又没办法吃饭,跳舞. 也没法聊天,打牌.

你是偏向于看节目呢?跳舞呢?还是聊天,打牌? 给他们个反馈,明年才知道怎么办啊. 是不是?

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛1, 下次要注意消防安全的问题，那天如果有火灾，在场的出口好像只有一个，非常危险。(观众只知道一个，如果有其他出口，应告知)
2, 下次可以考虑免掉晚饭，吃饭会造成脏乱的局面。而且增加组织的复杂程度。暖气应该可以调节，现在实在太热了。
3, 要选择好一些的音响，音响效果很不好。灯光效果还可以，但普遍觉得面光不够。有条件的话，以后可以用一些色温高的灯具。另外要控制好打光的角度。好像话筒质量也不好，事先应调试好。
4, 节目的次序好像偏重压台戏，其实开场也很重要，另外抽奖的过程应该简化。
5, 整个晚会只有于先生的一段旁白照顾了一些非中文的观众，建议以后报节目同时可以在屏幕上同步用英语介绍一下。
6, 主持人应减少不太高雅的玩笑，可以多介绍一些节目的内容，以及表演者的特点。
7, 个人认为有必要去掉武术表演，现场的一些小事故已经证明表演者的控制能力非常有限，如果打到前排的小朋友，后果不堪设想。
8, 如果有可能，节目再可以丰富一些，事先可以通过rolia 征询一些其他的节目。
9, 建议所有到会者有名牌，便於大家了解。(但这个不是必须的)
10，票价可以提高，一年一次的中国人聚会，搞得成功是大家的一次享受，而且事实证明这次晚会还是基本成功的。
