    本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛最近经常看到有人问Router上网和如何share的问题，根据本人经验，下面以Netgear为例介绍一下相关配置，希望对有需要的Rolian能有所帮助，网络高手请多指点。欢迎补充。

    Router是智能性的路由器，与hub只是进行简单地网络连接不同，Router自带软件，可以进行配置已达到不同要求。但家庭用实际上需要配置的地方很少，也并不复杂。

    假设硬件连接均已正确。Router的说明手册在手边。操作系统为Windows 2000, Router的IP地址是192.168.0.1（其他品牌的可能不同，参看Router自带的手册）

    A. 机器配置：

    A1. 将你的机器IP地址设置为与Router一个子网，最简单的就是设置为192.168.0.*(*为2-254)。

    1. Go to Desktop ->
    2. Right Click "My Network Places" -> "Properties" ->
    3. Right Click "Local Area Connection" -> "Properties" ->
    4. Select "Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) -> Click "Properties" button ->
    5. Click "Using the following IP Address" radio button ->
    6. Setup "IP Address:" 192.168.0.* (*为2-254)
    "Subnet Mask:" 255.255.255.0
    "Default gateway:" 192.168.0.1(Router的地址)
    7. Click "Use the following DNS server addresses" radio button.
    8. Setup "Preferred DNS server:" 192.168.0.1(Router的地址)


    A2. 或者将你的机器设置为自动获取IP地址。

    将上面5-6改成: "Obtain an IP address automatically"，其他一样。



    B. 访问Ruter的配置页：

    打开IE浏览器，在Address中输入http://192.168.0.1(Router的地址)，会出现logon form，添如username and password（查阅手册），就会进入Router的配置页。

    其中有很多menu，我们只用其中的一部分。


    C. 上网设置：

    进入Router的配置页
    C1. DSL(Bell Sympatico)上网：
    在Basic Setting中，"Does Your Internet Connection Require A Login?"，选Yes.
    然后在下面的form中添入Sympatico的Username and Password.
    Leave other setting by default.
    Click "Apply" button.

    这样就可以上网了，连接到此Router上的所有机器都不需要安装Sympatico的软件。

    *有些Router的这部分是在PPPoE设置中，同样输入username and password。

    C2. Rogers Cable上网：一般来说，不用做任何设置就可以上网。



    D. Firmware upgrade
    在Router Status中可以看到current Firmware version. 你可以到厂商网站上看到同型Router的最新version。如需升级，一般是到网站上去download最新的version到硬盘（注意一定要download同一型号的），然后再Router配置页中选Router Update,load the file you downloaded, click Update.



    E. Port Forwarding
    1. click "Port Forwarding" in Router configration page.
    2. Click "Add Custom Service"
    3. input port number in "Starting Port" and "Ending Port" 如一个端口21/21(Start/End) 或多个端口6881/6999.
    5. setup "Server IP Address" 为你机器的IP address.
    4. Click "Apply".

    如果你的机器做Web Site或ftp site，一般将机器IP设为固定，然后将port forward到你的机器上。估计会设Web site和ftp site的DXs都会做，就不多说了。：）

    *注意：开放太多没必要的Port会降低网络安全性。


    F.Block Sites
    你也可以设置Router去Block一些网站(by Keyword or Domain Name).


    G. Trouble Shooting
    Q:网络经常断，上不了网，要重启Router才奏效。
    A:Download the newest firmware and upgrade Router.

    Q:用下载软件或p2p软件如eDonkey和BT，下载速度很慢。
    A:许多类似的软件需要开放一些port，这样才能连接到更多的有同样port的机器上，已达到高速。所以需要Port Forwarding到他们指定的Port. BT是6881/6999。

    Q:访问不了www.hotmail.com和发送接受hotmail的邮件。
    A:在Router的配置页的Wan Setup中，设置MTU Size。一般为1500或适当降低，多试试，会成功。

      A: Port Forwarding
      6901, 1863, 6891-6900. and turn UPnP on.

      有很多品牌和型号的Router，不一定都行，试试吧。

      To enable voice communications, make sure that outgoing TCP connections from port 6901 are enabled. Also enable UDP packets where either the source or the destination port is 6901.

      To enable file transfers, enable both incoming and outgoing TCP connections to the 6891-6900 range of TCP ports. This allows each sender to perform up to 10 simultaneous file transfers. Note that if only TCP port 6891 is open, users are only able to perform one file transfer at a time.

      To enable messaging, enable outgoing TCP connections to TCP port 1863.
