还煞有介事的纠正我的问题，这也太misleading了。 研究了一下，确认和虚拟机里的cpu，processor，thread设置有关，我打开虚拟机VMware后， 最后4个logical cores， 开始高度占用。

8-core, 16-thread processor， 为什么在资源显示器和device manager， 都显示20cores， 而且在资源显示器，对应这4个并不存在的logical core总显示almost 100% occupied？有哪位硬件高手同学答个疑？

才在gptchat里搜索了一下， 说是16core。 到底是16core还是20core， 不过， 无论是16core， 还是20cores， 为什么性能监视器里， 总显示17-20 cores是高度占用， 而其他core，就比较正常的低。

不过， 我注意到在vmware里，number of cores per processor设置项中 ， 最大也只有16的选项， 这个数字是从主机硬件中检测到的吗？难道是chatgpt的表述不精确？

VMWARE 軟件不支持。AMD CPU 沒有E-CORE.

device manager显示的是logical processors的数量, logical processors的定义是product of the number of physical cores with the number of threads each core can handle， 你的例子：2 X 8 + 4=20
