Canada Tough Country (ZHUAN)

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Welcome to Canada! Yes its tough every where. But while Americans enjoyed
10 years of a bull run up here in Canada we have nothing to show for it. At
least Americans got jobs that gave them experience. Canadians always face
hard times. Don't you just love all of those jobs jobs jobs promises of
free trade?

Face it, Canadian companies import their experience help. It used to be
that one went to school got a university degree that proved that one was
basically able to learn and was trainable. Now they expect you to be job
ready from day one with no training. Absurd. Reason they can get away with
it is that there are plenty of qualified immigrants from the US working for
IBM and other heavy weights who can easily get a job up here once their work
permits expire.

Sad reality in Canada. Just a case in point. It took me one year to find a
job after graduation. I could not find one till someone told me about the
Federal Government of Canada paying employers half someone's wages for 6
months if that person had a history of being on employment insurance. They
give you a slip to send with your resume explaining the subsidy. Well that
morning I began sending resumes out. After sending five the phone rang and
someone called me in for an interview. They asked if I could come the same
day. I did and after a quick interview the same company that refused me
before hired me.

That's because the government paid for half my wages. As soon as the
internship ended I was laid off. Ain't Canada great :)更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
