it\'s hard to answer because every individual person has his/her individual case. but the bottom line of Toefl score for undergraduate admission is lower---550---if it\'s not changed yet.

If you feel the course load is too heavy,
you can consider either reducing your course load or taking courses at cegep or even getting a DEC diploma(all quebec high school graduates are required to study at cegep---college---before entering local universities, and they should have transfer credit assessment service too), then you only need at most 6 semesters to get your bachelor\'s degree. Vanier College, and Dawson College are public cegep with good reputation, same for champlain college in south shore.

          • Thank you, zara. Compared with CS of Concordia Univ., which is better? Mcgill? or Concordia?
            • if you just want to find job in local area of montreal, concordia is OK. But, its overall is not in the same level as where mcgill stands.
              • So the study in Concordia is easier? I change my major from other area which is not related with CS. I am afraid that I can not survive.
                • it\'s ok as long as u like sitting in front of computer and maths. however as I know, the admission to concordia is very competitive, even for the diploma program. but once u can get in, u will find many chinese friends there.
    • McGill is a good university, but its CS is really poor as to some of my friends. But if you have a degree here in CS, there is no problem to find a job and no big difference where you graduate.
      • the problem of cs@mcgill might be that the dept is quite small, if u count faculty members. but it\'s still not easy for undergraduate students to get survived.
      • Huge difference between schools! How may schools do
        • hmm, good question......
definitely more than you since I\'ve been hanging around north america and on/off line for much longer time than you:-)But you may know much more Chinese schools than I do --- I only have a little idea about what\'s happening at no more than 4 top engineering/science schools in China.
          • why did you say no difference...
            • when did I? check your own question pls:-)
              • read carefully both of us were confused !
