But this has placed increased demands and expectations on many of our internal support departments, including Materials & Logistics. To help ensure we are able to meet the market’s demands, we are increasing our technical capability in our team and are currently recruiting for a Planner-Buyer.
As a member of the Materials & Logistics group, you will be a key member of our procurement team. In addition to managing key commodities, the Planner-Buyer will be directly responsible for analyzing and improving the effectiveness of our procurement systems, both with suppliers and sister plants around the world. This position will then play an important role by supporting other members of our team who must accomplish our procurement objectives on a daily basis.
You will have a degree or diploma in a related field and at least 5 years relevant work experience. Excellent communication, mathematical, organizational and interpersonal skills combined with strong analytical and database proficiency round out your qualifications. Preference may be given to candidates with electronics manufacturing experience, second language skills, and familiarity with SAP and/or Baan IV.
