Hello zhoulang,

Thanks for your post on rolia.net. I want to know if this position is still available. Here I introduct myself briefly.

I have 5+ years working experience in China and 2+ years experience in North Amercia.

In China, I worked for Motorola, Sun Microsystems, XDB and HueNeng.
In North America, I worked for Canada Telecommunication Reserach Lab, Calnet , etc.

I have strong skills and experience in C/C++, Java, J2ME, LDAP, SQL, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, Routers, SNMP, MIB, etc.

But I don't have project experience in ANSI. 41, MAP, SS7, ISUP, SCCP. Certainly I have some knowledge about them.

Do you think I can apply this position ?

Job Title: Senior Product Development Engineer

Qualifications:
1) Bachelors Degree in Electrical, System, or Computer Engineering.
2) Minimum of 6 years experience in communication industry. A significant part of the work experience should be in product development, engineering or technology evolution areas.
3) Member of Profession Engineers of Ontario, or eligibility to register as P.Eng.
4) Proven experience with Ericsson Switches, Compaq SCP & HLR, Routers and Firewalls, plus other intelligent peripherals or call processing platforms.
5) Knowledge in telecommunication and Internet protocols such as ANSI.41, MAP, SS7, ISUP, SCCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, etc..
6) A Strong background in software development languages and O/S such as C/C++, Java, and Unix. Good understanding on J2ME.
7) Working experience in database design for LDAP or SQL database.
8) Good understanding in the GSM/GPRS standards. Good understanding on SIM Toolkit.
9) Strong verbal and written communication skills.

How much you expect?

It could be 70k for a full time, and 60 for contractor -- just a guess.
This position is too high for me, I don't have any confidence now.
