    • Nice. Did you go camping & hiking there?
      • Yes, I did! Invited by my friends. It's a popular place for Californians. Only 4 hours' driving from San Francisco.
        • Do you have an itinerary to share please? - Was thinking to go there in March but changed mind. Maybe next March then.
          • We were only there for two full days.

            The first day we drove around the lake, stopped at places of good views.

            The second day we hiked the Eagle Lake trail. There are good trails around the area.

            We camped at the Fallen Leaf Campground. There are many campgrounds. Usually you need to book well ahead of time as they are very popular.

            The area is indeed very cold since the elevation is high. I think March is too early. We went in June but the nights were freezing cold.
