gszy(灌水), could you explain why ABK was up & up since last big drop? I didn't see FA changes, and Buffet's involvement of bond insurance seems stop ABK from getting any new business, -lingliu97(pureblue); 2008-5-3 {95} (#33306@43)
at least in short term. I just couldn't understand how it went so well in the past a few days.

after ER ABK droped to 3.5 level. I made a very bad prediction on it because at that time TA looked extremely ugly also FA was getting worse. Afterwards, the whole market turned bullish also lots of comments saying financial sector bottomed. I remember ABK did a private placement around 7 dollars. Maybe the worst for ABK is over then MM pulled the SP back. Anyway, if I saw that chart again, I will still cut loss as a daytrader.

personally, I bought some ABK 7.5 call before ER cut .05 after ER out. If I misled any of guys here on ABK, I apologize. I will be more cautious to give any comments on US stocks afterwards.

but I guess I should buy it back after the bottom was reached. I found that I tend to have psychological resistance to buy back stock which I've just sold. This could be my psychological weakness or I lack of the ability to follow the trend. Will you share a bit how to judge a stock is back on the uptrend? For example, when we looked back the ABK curve (5 days?), where is the point to get back in? I think you are quite experienced.

based on my trading system I won't buy ABK before last Thursday. I would feel comfortable to buy when it broken 4.9 that day. but from bottom, it's already up 30% if you bought @4.9. check the red circle in the chart. if i have to play abk i will buy that day.
