      Do you use "yahooquote" in linux?
      All the quotes data are retrieved from Yahoo and they are only in text. I like texts.
      Then you can use linux scripts to compute the total, gain etc from the quotes.
      Text is faster than graphics. Excel is clumsy.

          why not try yourself? To install "yahooquote", just type
          apt-get install libfinance-yahooquote-perl

          To use it, type
          yahooquote PTR ^0857.HK 601857.SS
          will show you the quotes of PetroChina in US, HK and China. You can modify the script of yahooquote
          to display different data for each stock such as day range, year range, p/e, volume.

          If you want exchange rate of RMB and US dollar, type
          yahooquote USDCNY=X
