For upright it is duty free HST only for grand 7% duty with Form A duty free + HST. However, I suggest you not because pianos for the Asia market is differnet for North America in material used. You can have a crack sound board after one winter because of the heat we use in the house.

TitusWong(LicCustomsBroker) No permit required. Since plywood is a manufactured wood. No fumigation required either.

No.2 ICW ...for now ...at least next few years ...NO WAY to chop locally. Trimple M own Barrie metals for years ....which has chopping line ....look how good they are now ..... not really competitve.

importations. You will continue to pay Duty and GST only for commercial shipments. For private person importation. Duty and HST will be collected. So for commercial is still going to be Duty + 5% GST. For provate it will be Duty + 13% HST. Hope that clears up all the concerns.
We are a distributor with thousands of new car dealers in Canada and Eastern side of USA. We are looking for comsumable items.Thanks.
