      • So please share with us your answer. 😊 +1
      • Just language, not technology.
          • When it goes to special topics, the terms could be very specific. I just hope I can do better with those common things, like those in daily news.
            • Learning to use “small words” correctly can make a big difference. For example, +1
usually people say “when it comes to something” (ie not “goes to something”), also, it’s “on” news not “in” news... Paying attention to the use of small words can go a long way, but its importance often underestimated. News channels on TV/radio are excellent source of learning authentic English. Once you understand 100% of what they say on TV/radio, you are half way towards speaking as fluently as they do.
              • Good point! Thanks for the tips! +1
                • You are welcome! Merry X’mas! 😄
      • That's quite a creative way! May I use it as my Christmas wish?
      • That's so true! Never stop learning and trying to be fluent in other languages. :(
      • How about CBCs?
        • They do have their own accent.
            • CBC metro morning
              • There used to be a broadcaster named Lu Zhou. Are you referring to her?
                • Wei Chen
                  • Oh.
          • IMHO, accent is not as important as thinking in English. +1
      • That's my question. Why older ppl cannot learn language well?
          • I think it's the other way around. Kids
      • You even learnt flying in the planes for many years.... +1
      • How can a language teacher have little listening and speaking ability? 😊

      • I'm not talking about academic scores though. It's about using English in a natural way.
      • Not about accent. But the way we use the language. Many times I struggle to express some very basic things.
        • E.g.?
    • An English speaking partner would definitely solve this problem. +1
      • What are you suggesting?
        • mission possible?
      • LOL. Somehow true. Now I only use English interface on all my equipments. Trying to make some room...
        • Think in a different dimensional way. you have unlimited room for languages. +1
