I hope you and your family are well.

Tenants who are working must pay there rent, no exceptions. If renters have been laid-off, the Federal government has introduced a number of supports for these workers, which should be received in the coming weeks. As a result, it is recommended to organize a payment schedule.

If renters are unable to pay, landlords such as yourself can use last months rent, that is given upon renters taking over the property, to help mitigate loss.

I would encourage you to continue speaking with your lender as federal banking regulations are allowing for mortgage deferrals.
