1) About history
Winners always rewrite history. The history on a text book shows a twisted view and it takes insight to guess the truth. One perfect example is the famous Japanese textbook about the rape of Nanjing and the invasion of China. To general public, it is what the governance body wants you to believe and that's what most people will take. This applies to Japan, applies to Catholic Church, applies to Mongolian empire, and applies to Tibet.
2) About race and independence
This is a complicated manner and I do not think we should insist to have different races and different cultures to live under one political government. Actually, I do believe, if most people within one region want independence, they should have the right to do so. This applies to Quebec, Scotland, Tibet, Alberta, and Taiwan.
3) About media bias
There is bias everywhere. I support the protest again those bias against Chinese people. I also support the right to express opinions under any government – including China.
5) About respect
Respect is mutual. We can’t expect respect from others when we do not pay respect. This applies to the cases to Dalai, to Free Tibet movement, and to “western” media, and most importantly, to ourselves and fellow Chinese people. We are superior or inferior to none.
6) About violence
There is 0 good reason to have violence – this applies to Free Tibet movement, applies to death penalty, applies to any forms of government crack down towards peaceful demonstration.
7) About domestic matter
Neighbors should not interfere with each others’ domestic matter. But when the husband is trying the kill the wife or kids, it is a different matter. I agree that US should not invade Iraq. But I think the world truly failed some people in Africa.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
