If the goods are originated from the USA. The duty should be zero with a NAFTA certificate. You pay GST only. If notoriginated from the USA. Full duty and GST will applied. However if the goods are not originated from the USA. Then the above permission to export does not applied. All canadian duty paid can be refunded if the goods were exported in original condition without any modification and add on value. Ones consumed (used) by you. Then duty will not be refunded. At time of export. Be sure to fill out the form E15 in addition to the b13a. Get customs to verify and stamped the E15 form. Then you will be ready for refund ones the other document are together. Get your broker to file it for you and don't attemp to do it yourself.
