Great Wall, Beijing, China

China, an Oriental power with a glorious history of 5000 years, has bred profound cultural accumulation in the long years. Speaking of China, we have to talk about Beijing. As the capital of China, Beijing is a city that everyone who comes to China deserves to have a good taste. Beijing has a long history and splendid culture. It is one of the first batch of national historic and cultural cities, one of China's four ancient capitals and the city with the largest number of world cultural heritage. The history of its construction in 3060 years has bred many scenic spots and historic sites such as the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace.

"Not to reach the Great Wall is not a good man." When you come to China and Beijing, you must climb the Great Wall and have a look at the magnificent mountains and rivers of China.

Great Wall, also known as the Great Wall, is a military defense project in ancient China. It is a tall, solid and continuous terrace with a large number of cities, barriers, pavilions and benchmarks as its main body.

It is like a giant dragon, from the sandy Jiayuguan Pass in Mobei to the Shanhaiguan Pass on the shore of Jingtao, over the towering mountains, across the vast grasslands, across the vast desert, towards the vast sea.

The history of the Great Wall can be traced back to the Western Zhou Dynasty, from which came the famous allusion "the princes of beacon fire opera" which took place in the capital of Chengjing (now Xi'an, Shaanxi Province). During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, countries fought for hegemony and defended each other. The construction of the Great Wall reached its first climax, but the length of the construction in this period was relatively short. After the Qin Dynasty destroyed the six countries and unified the world, the first emperor of Qin Dynasty joined and repaired the Great Wall of the Warring States, which was first known as the Great Wall. The Ming Dynasty was the last dynasty to build the Great Wall. Today most of the Great Wall people see is built at this time.

In China, the significance of the Great Wall is not only a miracle in the history of engineering, but also a carrier of Chinese culture and spirit. The majestic and magnificent Great Wall, winding thousands of miles and living in the mountains and peaks, reflects the national spirit of the Chinese nation, which is diligent and brave, hard-working and creative, and also reflects the noble quality of the Chinese nation's unity, opposition to aggression and peace-loving.

Speaking of the Great Wall, people mostly think of the story of Meng Jiangnu crying about the Great Wall. Legend has it that in the Qin Dynasty, when Emperor Qin Shihuang built the Great Wall, he had heavy labor. Young Fan Xiliang and his daughter Meng Jiangnu had just been married for three days. Fan Xiliang was forced to set out to build the Great Wall. He soon died of hunger, cold and fatigue, and his bones were buried under the wall of the Great Wall. Meng Jiangnu, dressed in cold clothes, went through a lot of hardships before she finally came to the Great Wall. What she got was the news of her husband's death. Meng Jiangnu cried for three days and three nights on the Great Wall. Suddenly, the Great Wall collapsed, revealing Fan Xiliang's body. After Meng Jiangnu buried Fan Xiliang, she threw herself into the sea in despair and died. Meng Jiangnu cried at the Great Wall. It is this beautiful love story that reflects the hatred of the Chinese working people for the feudal tyranny and their desire for a free and happy life.

The Great Wall is the symbol of Beijing, China and the Chinese nation. Starting today, GaGaGa Duck will also take you from the foot of the Great Wall to visit famous cities in every country of the world and read world culture with you.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
