I sort of agree with it based on what I think the reason of mass-shooting is. It's beliefs that result in hatred. Guns are only a tool. Gun control cannot get rid of the hatred, merely suppresses the symptom, but is not able to resolve the underlying essential issues.

Guns can kill, also can be used to deter, defend, and fire back.

Still, compared to some other ways, using a gun is a quicker way.

Beliefs absolutely can kill people, using a gun or whatever possible. Remember the 9/11 attack? No gun was involved.
