there are pros and cons, they are both cheap. IB is a US company whereas questrade is Canadian company. Using IB you can do more things than using questrade. but for beginner I found questrade is good enough.

Questrade can hold both CND and USD in your rsp. but do NOT buy multual fund through questrade as the commission is quite high..if someone else refer you to questrade you can get 50 and the person who refer you get 100.. I used questrade for a while the service is not as great as TD but it is reasonable... given the price, Ihave no compain
