jim366(金), how could I set a stop loss price while I have a sell order to gain benefit? With my broker (CIBC), I could only set one price to sell, my understanding is it is either a price higher than original purchase price (to gain), or

a price lower than original purchase price (to stop loss). I have to monitor the market all the time and change my order all the time.

    • 以Etrade为例, Price type有Market, Limit, Stop和Stop Limit. 后两者可用于Stop loss. 很有用的是另一种:trailing stop loss (在Advanced里面). 当价格上涨时, stop loss的价格随之向上调整. Google一下可了解详情. -dusk(~小桥流水~); 2007-7-20 (#3538@43)
