Cloud Security Dev Ops Consultant
Montreal , QC, Canada
12+ Months Contract

Our client is looking for DevOps Consultant to strengthen their Global Infrastructure team and the opportunity to work with leading Infrastructure and Security technologies. As a DevOps Consultant, you will bridge the gap between development and operations, and help to increase standardization, agility and reliability, in terms of technical and organizational matters. If you are highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn, then we want to hear from you.

You'll have to have:
• Knowledge of security issues affecting web applications and infrastructure
• Clear communication and thinking about software and its design
• An Interest in creating ways to include security in the software development process
• A methodical and disciplined mindset
• An ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning to meet new challenges

It'd be great if you have experience with:
• Web application development including front-end
• Querying or developing REST APIs
• Solid systems administration knowledge for web infrastructure (Load Balancers, Web servers, Application servers)
• Creating and maintaining internal tools
• Developing in Python, Ruby, etc.
• Contributing to open source security projects
• Vulnerability Management tools
• Management and automation of virtual environments (VMware)
• Splunk, ELK or other log aggregation tools
• Continuous integration and automating deployment pipeline for code, configurations and toolsets

You'll be working on things like:
• Identifying and solving security team problems with software
• Diving deep into the systems we are currently using to evaluate and determine how future security systems will fit in
• Developing tools to help gain more visibility into our networks and scale intrusion detection capabilities
• Building resilient server configurations
• Automate processes with code and APIs
• Add security to deployment pipelines and automate testing
• Integrate security events into our cloud service for alerting/monitoring
