Brief Project Description:
• Upgrade to Exchange 2013 in 10 sites currently running Exchange 2010
• Perform assessment of Exchange 2010 public folders and delete legacy content
Project Name:
Exchange 2013 upgrade project and staff augmentation for Messaging integration projects
Team/Culture:
The team is the third level support for Messaging and is responsible for any application integration activities. The team of four works collaboratively with the production support team to ensure the health of the environment.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Assist in the migration from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 in 10 remote sites.
• Coordinate the migration activities with the production support team and create necessary change records.
• Handle escalations from the support team.
• Assist application owners in their testing activities
Certifications:
• Exchange 2013 or Exchange 2016 certification
What program/technology/software knowledge is essential for this role and in what capacity will the successful candidate be using it:
• Exchange 2013/2010
• Outlook 2013/2010
• Cisco Ironport knowledge or equivalent email security products
Must Have Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of Exchange 2013/2010, Outlook 2013/2010
• In-depth knowledge of Windows server (Windows 2012 R2) and desktop technologies
• Good understanding of network protocols
• Good knowledge of ActiveSync infrastructure
• Good knowledge of Active Directory
Nice to Have Skills:
• Ability to operate all components within the Windows server infrastructure and desktop environment
• Good understanding of Cisco Ironport Email Security Appliance
• Good understanding of major programming languages (C#, VB, PowerShell and simple scripts)
• Good understanding of Internet & Web technologies (e.g. DNS)
Good knowledge of desktop operating systems
• Technical writing and system documentation
Soft Skills:
• Good verbal and written communication skills
