今天我开车在路上，是一条山路，路旁是树林，路与树林只有不到两米的距离。从树林中突然窜出一条大狗，根本来不及刹车，可怜的狗。。。狗主人很伤心，而我也要负担修车的费用。1千元的insurance deductible.
估计这条狗是要穿过路去跟另一个家人会合，不然不会急速窜出。
我以前自以为反应速度敏捷，但是，事实是残酷的。这条狗用它的命在教育我，提醒我。

I am still going over the accident in my mind and think I am ready to hear the details from your perspective as I did not see what happened only heard. The last time I saw Luna she was running up the trail in front of me so I was surprised that she was hit at the point she was. Any details would be helpful. I am sorry and do not want to put you through any more trauma but there are unanswered questions on my side. Had she come from the opposite side of the street where my vehicle was parked? Did she run across in front of you?

The incident happened so quickly, here is what I know. Luna rushed out from the mountain side, There are no people on both side of the cross, but looks like she was rushing out from the bush with charging speed to meet someone she loved, i do not know if there are other family member on the other side of road? i would not know because no one standing at the cross. because of the bush along the side of road hided her existance, the visibility for lower object like Luna is limited. if she was running from trail to cross then it is not be able to be seen by drivers. my wife and daughter in the car did not see her before they know our car hit your dog, i saw her white shadow charging out from right side and have no time to stop to prevent the accident. I am so sorry for that. if I were in my 20s or 30s maybe I could stop in less than 1 second and saved her life, I stopped as fast as I could. according to the insurance adjuster, Luna most probably was hit by the right front corner of my car... it happened so quickly I only know this much, i asked the driver behind me and he did not see it coming.
I wish Luna did not suffer too long, I would guess that she was very happy before the accident because she was charging the speed...

Though I cannot prevent the accident, but my family feel sorry about your loss of Luna, please let me know your email and we would like to refund you $500.
