You can deposit foreign currency cash or cheques into your account at any CIBC bank machine. Key the face value of the deposit. We will credit the exchange to your account a few days after the transaction has been processed.
To find out which machines use envelopes, visit the find an ATM link on online banking and ensure that the “envelope-free deposit” is not selected under ATM Services.
There are extended holds on foreign cheques because they take longer to process. Before providing access to the funds, we must confirm that the cheque is included in the deposit envelope, the amount indicated is correct, and the payee and date is valid. Depending upon the source of the cheque, there is a 30- or 60-business day hold on it.

可以，银行会按汇率转成加元存入。如果支票收款人是你孩子，他/她要背书（在反面签名）。银行一直都开，时间会比非疫情正常情况时短，自己上网查查你分行的具体时间 -vicky2005(孩子她爹); 2021-4-17 (#13637792@0)
