    • Is English logical?
      • what a concept. very helpful. will listen again. Thank you.
        • I'm glad that you find the video/book helpful. I did enjoy the presentation, and made a few notes. English is a tool to communicate for most of us. However, English, as a lauguage is a beautiful art, can be as powerful as music, etc.
I like reading. It will be fun if there are more people who can share their readings on the forum. On the other hand, reading can be very personal, may not be shared. :-(
          • I'm quite open to share. However, I don't read that much except work stuff & newspaper.Right now I'm focusing on writing, not progressing。。。
            • I used to write little things in Chinese or in English. right now, I don't write any more.
    • 学西方美术史的时候,从来都没有从Brain这个角度的分析,仔细读了这篇,很喜欢。“some say they see the man in the moon,”我也有同感。
      • thanks for discussion. We all like those beautiful things in life, don't we?
    • How to write
      • Thank you. While reading rule No.1, I thought about another rule I read, " Tell what you want to tell, tell, and tell again what you have told." It sounds to me writing
writing is to tell and how to tell in a way that receivers can really hear, touch, and follow. something like that.
        • Sorry for not replying earlier. Rules that COLSON WHITEHEAD offered for writing may not the rules for everyone. I personally never read Mr. Whitehead's books.
I like your way of interpreting how to write. HOW does your writing progress these days? Ready to share with us on the forum yet?
          • :-) nothing to sorry about. So much fun here. Recently, I'm keen on the corresponding emails at work, and surprised to see the words "pester", "hound" etc. Sombody are much more aggressive than my word of choice.
Nice to be goofy around, meanwhile, we have to be assertive. Another lesson learned, I need strictly stick to the following rule: our audience are 8th grades not the persons holding bachlor degree, although they do hold that degree.
            • Working with others is like driving on the road.
Working with others is like driving on the road. Sometimes, it is not about how good we are, but rather how well the others co-operates with us. Nobody likes to see the scence where people horn each other, and stuck in the middle of nowhere, can't go anywhere further. We all like to drive on an open road where freedom and fun meet, being safe and reaching your destination with the people you love are goals, the rest is probably the material for story telling.
Always like to hear those personal stories which are so raw and original. Welcome to the reality, I reminded myself several times already......
